Hatching eggs from our F2+ olive eggers. Blue Wheaten Marans rooster over F1-F3 olive egger hens. Photos are of some of the egg colors you can expect to receive. You can expect these chicks to be large, sturdy dual purpose birds with barred, wheaten, black, or shades of partridge and duckwing plumage likely, single combs, feathered legs, and calm, gentle dispositions. We breed for healthy and friendly birds who are consistent producers of medium to large eggs in a gorgeous range of greens, and our girls certainly deliver.
Important notes on olive egger egg colors: Only first generation olive eggers are guaranteed to lay green eggs, and that is only if one of the parents comes from a purebred blue egg laying breed (and therefor carries two copies of the "blue egg gene"). I love the variety of colors that different generations of olive eggers and different crosses back to Marans or blue layers produce. I do not make any guarantees that F2+ offspring from our birds will lay green, however in hatching and raising our own eggs I can say that we get some incredible and unique shades from our lines, as you see in the photos.
You can purchase F1 hatching eggs here.
I am always keeping an eye on fertilization rates and will not send out eggs if I have any doubts about good fertility. By purchasing you acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible for your hatch rates, or any damage to the eggs after they leave our hands. We only sell our freshest eggs as hatching eggs to give our customers the best possible odds of successful hatches. Please handle your eggs carefully!
Please review our shipping policies and follow the instructions to ensure your order is sent out in a timely manner.
FARM PICKUP: I will reach out when your eggs are ready for pick up, you can then schedule a time to pick up your order. We are a small farm striving to produce the best possible birds for our community, not a large scale hatchery, and we appreciate your support! Use code LOCAL6 (for half dozens) or LOCAL12 (for dozens) at checkout to remove the cost of shipping & handling.
